Page 2 of 2 Home RulesThe work at home entrepreneur will also have to understand that work time is not play time. So often, individuals get caught up in the absolute freeness of working at home and forget that it is still work. No matter how many times a teacher has been heard saying, “There is a time for work and a time for play”, there are still individuals who don’t realize the truth in the statement. Therefore, designated hours for both should be determined. So for the next at home rule, it’s only fair to list good time management. Without this, there will not be enough concentration or work completed to make the venture worthwhile. PlanningA few other tips for beginners to consider are things like business planning, marketing and production costs. If the home based business is one that provides a service, there may be few costs associated with production; however, if there are goods involved, these need to be figured into a budget so that everything stays on track. Planning for the future involves goals and expansion, increased sales and a higher number of clientele. If you want to aim for the stars, do so but make sure that the goal is truly reachable so that there is no chance for discouragement later. Is it a Yes?Still, one of the most truthful questions that an entrepreneur needs to ask themselves before beginning a home based business is, “Do I really have what it takes to do this?” If an individual can look at every aspect of the business that they wish to venture into as well as all of the possibilities - positive and negative - that could occur and the answer is still a solid, “Yes”, then there is definitely determination present. Without that, a business owner is sure to fail. So, set limitations and budgets, do the research, make those choices wisely and really consider whether or not this business will still bring happiness and make sense in the future. If the determination and good work ethic are present, there should be nothing holding you back.
